In a year themed “Two Seasons Unite, Celebrating Moments That Matter,” The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur proudly unveils a festive celebration that brings together two of Malaysia’s most meaningful seasons — Chinese New Year and Ramadan — through a powerful expression of culture, cuisine, and togetherness.

Beginning 10 January 2026, the hotel welcomes the Lunar New Year with auspicious Chinese New Year dining experiences at Ti Chen Chinese Restaurant, before transitioning into a nationwide culinary showcase with Citarasa Empat Penjuru, available from 19 February to 19 March 2026 at Charcoal.

This dual-season celebration reflects Malaysia at its best — where traditions coexist, flavours
intertwine, and communities gather around the table.

EMPAT PENJURU: A STORY OF MALAYSIA, TOLD THROUGH FOOD
At the heart of the festive season is Citarasa Empat Penjuru, a thoughtfully curated buffet inspired by Malaysia’s culinary geography. Empat Penjuru, meaning “Four Corners,” celebrates the distinct heritage of each region, North, Central, East Coast, and South, united in one dining experience. Each corner of the country brings its own identity, shaped by history, culture, and local produce:

Northern Region – Perlis, Kedah & Penang
Robust and comforting flavours take centre stage with dishes such as Nasi Daging and Air Asam, Bihun Sup Utara, and Pasembur Rojak.

Central Region – Kuala Lumpur, Perak & Selangor
Hearty communal favourites like Nasi Ambeng, the deeply aromatic Rendang Tok, and nostalgic Roti John reflect the soul of home-style cooking.

East Coast – Terengganu, Pahang & Kelantan
Spice-forward specialties shine through dishes such as Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Kerutuk Daging, Sambal Hitam Ikan Bilis, Opor Daging, and the vibrant Nasi Kerabu.

Southern Region – Negeri Sembilan, Johor & Melaka
Bold, fiery, and unmistakably distinctive, highlights include Daging Salai Masak Lemak, Ikan Asam Pedas, Sate Celup, Lontong Kering, Sotong Kangkung, and Sambal Kerang. Together, these flavours form a culinary map of Malaysia, diverse in origin, yet united in spirit.

“Empat Penjuru reflects who we are as a nation,” shared Ms Jasmine Ong Li, General Manager of The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur. “Different states, different traditions, yet beautifully connected when shared at the same table.”

A FESTIVE EXPERIENCE BEYOND THE PLATE
Set across Charcoal’s indoor and outdoor dining spaces, the experience is elevated with Malay kampung-style décor, warm lighting, and live food stations, creating an inviting and communal atmosphere.

Throughout the Buka Puasa month, guests will also be entertained nightly by traditional dancers, performing a rotating repertoire of Malaysian cultural dances such as Zapin, Tarian Canggung, and Joget Lambak, adding rhythm and movement to the dining experience.

Enhancing the festive ambience further, The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur will host a Bazaar at the hotel lobby, featuring:
Local perfumes by J’Pedro
Batik clothing
Curated lifestyle offerings by selected vendors

In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year, The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s dual-festive celebration stands as a proud reflection of Malaysia’s cultural richness, where heritage is not only preserved, but celebrated together. “True prosperity is found not only in abundance, but in togetherness,” Ms Ong Li added.

“At The Saujana, we celebrate cultures by bringing people closer through food, tradition, and moments that truly matter.”

As two seasons unite and flavours converge, The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur invites guests, media, and travellers to experience a celebration that is heartfelt, meaningful, and unmistakably Malaysian.
